Community Guidelines
Wildfire is a civic platform built on trust. These principles guide how we engage with each other and hold our community to a higher standard.
Equity
Every neighborhood and every voice matters equally. Content that demeans specific communities, neighborhoods, or demographic groups violates this principle.
Transparency
Honest, good-faith engagement. Astroturfing, misinformation, and manipulation violate this principle.
Constructive Engagement
Critique policy, not people. Propose solutions, not just complaints. Content that personally attacks individuals without substantive civic purpose violates this principle.
Respect
Disagreement is welcome. Harassment is not. Content that threatens, intimidates, or targets individuals violates this principle.
Privacy
Protect your neighbors. Content that reveals personal information about others without consent violates this principle.
What's Not Allowed
- Hate speech or content targeting individuals based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or neighborhood
- Personal attacks, threats, or harassment of any kind
- Doxxing — sharing someone's personal information without consent
- Spam, commercial promotion, or repeated off-topic content
- Misinformation presented as fact
- Astroturfing — fake grassroots campaigns or coordinated inauthentic behavior
Enforcement
When content violates these guidelines, the Wildfire moderation team may take the following actions:
- Warning — A notification explaining the violation. No functional restriction.
- Content removal — The post or contribution is hidden from the community.
- Account suspension — Temporary or permanent restriction from the platform.
Appeals
If you believe a moderation action was made in error, you can appeal by contacting support@wildfire.city. Appeals are reviewed by the platform team.
Reporting
If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the flag icon on any post or reply to report it. Reports are anonymous and reviewed by the moderation team.
These guidelines are a living document and may be updated as our community grows.
